He had a unique writing style marked by paradox, wit, and wonder. Chesterton was known for his eccentric personality, but had a profound impact on individuals such as C.S. Lewis, Michael Collins, and Mohandas Gandhi, inspiring them to become Christian, lead Irish independence, and fight British colonial rule in India, respectively.
